I moved to a new home and didn't realize how much work is involved! It was good to finally pick up my pastels again and get back to work. I was able to get away recently for a long weekend to my favorite beach in Avalon, New Jersey and found new inspiration in this, a simple fence line on the dunes. I love walking along the beach at sunset with all those long, deep shadows that are created. My goal for this blog is to post works in progress and share my inspiration for creating art. This picture of Fiaschetteria was taken in Florence, Italy which has been of great inspiration to me. Not only was it the location of the best meal that I have ever had but it was where I found the motivation to begin painting again.
